Shipping and Open Box Policy

To help you save significantly on shipping costs, we offer both immediate weight-based shipping and flexible open-box warehouse storage.
Invoicing and Payment Terms
  • Invoice Delivery: Invoices are sent within 48 hours of the sale ending.
  • Payment Window: Invoices will be held open for 10 days unless alternate arrangements have been made with us.
  • Fulfillment: Shipping and box fees are included directly on your invoice.
Shipping and Box Options
  • Single Mail:
    • Rules: We ship only the items purchased during the current live sale.
    • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on the final weight of your items.
  • Small Open Box:
    • Dimensions: 6" x 6" x 6"
    • Rules: Slabs only. Ships automatically when full or 1 month after opening.
  • Medium Open Box:
    • Dimensions: 8" x 8" x 8"
    • Rules: Slabs only. Ships automatically when full or 3 months after opening.
  • Medium Box Rough:
    • Dimensions: 8" x 8" x 8"
    • Rules: Holds both rough and slabs. Ships automatically when full or 1 month after opening.
  • Large Open Box:
    • Dimensions: 12" x 12" x 12"
    • Rules: Holds both rough and slabs. Ships automatically when full or 3 months after opening.
How Open Box Pricing Works
Because rocks are exceptionally heavy, shipping costs are calculated based on your region. When you open a box during your first live sale, your regional flat rate will be added directly to your very first invoice.
This locks in your permanent flat rate for the life of that box and all your future boxes until a store-wide rate update is announced. Once an open box fills and ships, a new open box fee will be applied to your next order. You may change your shipping options at any time.
Open Box Management Rules
  • Capacity Safety Margin: To ensure your items are safely padded and protected during transit, boxes are considered full and closed for shipping when they reach 75% physical capacity in our warehouse storage. This leaves a mandatory 25% buffer for bubble wrap and packing materials.
  • Breakage Safety Caveat: For boxes holding both rough and slabs, we prioritize the safety of your delicate items. If the weight or volume of rough material poses a risk of crushing or scratching your slabs, we reserve the right to close and ship your box sooner than the standard time limit. High-volume buyers may message us to arrange separate slab and rough boxes to maximize space safely.
  • Automatic Shipping: Open boxes automatically close and ship once the 75% volume threshold is reached or the time limit (1 or 3 months) expires.
  • Early Close Requests: You can request to close and ship your open box at any time before your time limit hits. Early close requests take 3–5 business days to process and pack, plus standard transit times once shipped.
