How Polk Live Sales Work

Welcome to Polk Collection & Scott Polk Lapidary. We offer multiple live sales per week via Facebook and other channels. This page explains our processes and what to expect when you buy live from us. 

Claiming on a live sale

As we show an item on the sale, we will state the price, and the number square on the board where the item is placed. To claim the item, post a comment with the square number and price. 

For example, an item costing $10 placed on square 2 can be claimed by commenting "2 $10", "$10 on 2", or any variation that included the information. 

Multiple people may claim the same item. We assign the item to the first person visible in the comments on our screen. 

There may be instances where you see your comment first, however to keep things fair, we always base the winners of the order we see on our screen. 

Giveaways

We do multiple giveaways per show. You do not need to be an active customer to enter the giveaways. 

Giveaways are entered by commenting with a number between 1-100 and the winning number is selected at random. 

We offer multiple Giveaways types that are subject to change and will be defined during the show. 

Invoicing

Invoices are sent twice a week, usually on Mondays and Thursdays (days are a subject to change).  

Invoices must be paid within 10 days or receipt. If you are having problems with an invoice, please reach out. We understand that live shopping can get away from you and always work with you to ensure you get your rocks. 

We may ask shoppers with large balances to pause new purchases until their balance is cleared however this will be personally communicated. 

Shipping

We run an open box service. This means that your rocks are added to a box until that box is full, or 3 months after your last purchase from us.

Once the box is full we will assess shipping changes and send you an invoice for the shipping cost. 

The boxes we use for storage, closely match the size of a medium flat rate shipping box. This is the most common shipping charge (around $25 subject to change). We endeavor to assess shipping charges by region and always send our rocks via the most cost effective method. 

Once a box is full, our expected processing time to ship is 1 week. 

Early Shipping

If you would like to request shipping before your box is full, reach out to Sarah or Scott. Our standard processing time for shipping requests is 1 week.

Please note that multiple early shipping requests may result in an additional $10 processing.
